Mailman is software that lets you maintain automatic mailing records. It maintains a wide range of mailing list classes, such as common discussion files and announce-only files. Mailman has general points which get it good for list sponsors, such as easy support and unsubscription, privacy selections, and the ability to temporarily stop receiving posts from the list. There is a various reason behind this mailman errors.

You will need to verify permission and ownership for the mailman installation list.

# ls -ld /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/

drwxrwsr-x 21 mailman mailman 4096 Nov 30 04:56 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/

Verify that ownership and support are set recursively to mailman and drwxrwsr-x individually.

Changing support and ownership recursively

# chown mailman.mailman /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/ -R# chmod 02775 -R /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/

Restart cPanel service and support the mailman failures. If you still getting the below mistake or any other permission errors

“Please notify the webmaster of this place of this difficulty. Printing of traceback and other policy reports has been explicitly inhibited, but the webmaster can find this report in the Mailman error logs.”

Use the following instruction to auto-check all the authorities on the mailman.

# /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/bin/check_perms

If your difficulty continues then you can use the script given by cPanel to make the mailman or reinstall the mailman.

Make sure you need a backup of the directory mailman before effecting the script.

i) Fix mailman:# /scripts/fixmailman

ii) Reinstall Mailman:# /scripts/reinstallmailman

Use the /scripts/check_cpanel_rpms script to check the Mailman RPM for issues.
